I should like to take this opportunity to thank the administration and advisors for guidance and cooperation in all Student Council affairs. I should like to thank the student body for their fine spirit and support of Burges activities. Thanks too, to members of the Student Council. Suc- cess in your efforts has resulted from the desire to do a job well. In serving as Student Council and Student Body President during the year 1955-1956, I hope that I have done the work which was expected of my office, work which I have so much enjoyed. I believe that as their president I can say that the expressed desire of the Student Council to function for the student body has brought about a bond of loyalty to the school and the students therein. Perhaps in some ways we have erred. But certainly in many ways we have progressed. I believe that the Student Council has established a fine record and that traditions have been started which the student body of future years will look upon with favor, Our first year at Burges has been a memorable one. Your Student Council and Student Body President, Jerry Deal
