fast will And Zestameni We, the graduating class of l96O, hav- ing spent twelve long years of our young lives educating ourselves, do not wish to depart and take leave forever with- out first bequeathinga few of our most cherished possessions to the members of the class of 1961. ARTICLE I To the faculty and school board, we leave our sincere thanks and apprecia- tion. ARTICLE II To Mr. Thompson, we wish to express our many thanks for the interest and leadership he has shown us during the past years. ARTICLE III To the building, we leave our carved desks, wall decorations, and unneces- sary painting. ARTICLE IV Mary Ruth Bowden leaves her basket- ball ability to Beverette Saunders. Brenda Pearsall bequeaths her dignity to Gwen Bryant. Peggy Batson wills her giggle s and meanness to Sherria Herring. Alice Groves leaves to Bonnie Haynie her good times and her ability to stay out of trouble. Ann Elizabeth Jonkheer bequeaths her short blonde hair and brains to Stella Vdovich. Judy Autry wills her ability to date out- of-town boys to Robbie Powell. Bill Taylor leaves his parties to Bert Yates, Lanny Croom, and Bobby Hump- phrey. As they say, boys, Eat, drink, and be merry. Betty Lanier leaves her title of Most Bashful to Frances Wells. John David Watkins wills his aggres- siveness to Needhan Hallg poor Need- ham is so shy. Sallie James bequeaths her ability to laugh at nothing to Twylah Smith. Josette Futchbequeaths her position as editor of the WAGRUB to Susan Kess- ler. Susan, you loaf next year and make Eugene do all the work. Donna Walton leaves her curly hair to Glenda Johnson and Cora Lee Mead- ows. Worth Beverage leaves his ability to get a diploma with so little effort to Louis Sawyer and Samuel Casey. Judy McKoy leaves her freckles and red hair to Glenda Sellers and Hazel Lanier. David McLendon leaves his cute ways and handsome features to Bob Lewis. Stacy Covil leaves his way with girls to Wade Burton and Nick Vdovich. Merle Meadows leave s her title of Most Studious to Pheobe Lanier. Phyllis Sherman leaves her cheerlead- ing position to Ruth Lewis. Phyllis England leaves her Mrs de- gree to Patsy Croom. Jean Lanier wills her friendly ways to Kay Whisnant and Faith Murray. Thelma Saunders bequeaths her honor of chief marshal to Bessie Wells. Ervin Wells leaves his height to Adrian Ruddell, Franklin Worrell, and Allen Rivenbark. Bobbye Taylor leaves her membership inthe Beta Club to Nellie Watkins and Gracie Chadwick. Herman Strickland wills his physique to J. B. Croom and Buck Bloodworth. Judy Giddens leaves her school spirit to Kay Bowen. Ellen Caryl Futchleaves her ability to win an argument to Sandra Pope. Richard Brown leave s his love for speedy cars to Donald Wayne Wells. David Williams leaves his ability to have good times outside of B. H. S. to Roger Flynn. Judy Leimone wills her title of Big- gest Flirt and her good times to Pat Davis. Freddy Gorsky leaves his talent to Dan Wells. Stuart Jones wills his c urly hair to Frank Crewcut Futch. Dewey Padgett leaves his ability to bothe r girls to Carrol Pearsall and Louis Leimone. Vera Raynor bequeaths her sweet ways and ability to get along with others to Linda Warters and Jo Ann Eakins. Freddy Gorsky also leaves his innocent look to Eugene Jordan. Now, Freddy, maybe you won't look like the cat that ate the canary. Edward Mauney le av e s his love for chemistry to James Rivenbark. Patricia Tatum wills her place on the lunchroom staff to Patsy Meeks. Martha Rowe leaves her ta l e nt s to Martha Jean Murray. Chinnis McCoy wills his great interest for sports to Audrey Murray.
