Since 1936, there i has been s very active 4-H Club at Bureau to which hoth Leo Herring- Z ton and Tom Gillingham have given continuous yours of service snd 3 leadership. 5 In February, l948, the 4-H Club met for reorgnniz tion with thirty- 5 one members responding to roll call, seven of whom were new. Tom H Hoffman was elected president, Gary Vaughn, vice-president: Jerry 2 Hoover, secreteryg Donald Reynolds, treasurerg Roger Harrington, re- 2 oorterg Lester Meisenheimer, recreation chairman. Lenders for the , club were again Tom Gillingha and Leo Herrington. 5 In line with 4-H objectives, members pursued special individuel su- l pervised projects, many of which were outstanding. Jerry Hoover won 1 honors with his Shropshire sheep at a number of fairs including the 2 State. Dennis Keleher won awards with his Oxford sheep. Clark Heuer's 4 Angus calf won high at the County Fair and was displayed at the Chl- cego International and sold there. Roger Behrens won severel top n- ' wards at the County and State Fairs with his Boland Chinn Hogs and was awwrded a certificate for State Project Honor member. Dennis Keleher and Jerry Hoover won County Recognition in sheep, Clark Heuer Z and Roger Herrington in beef.
