C§ 8 « Of ttouw FADS Of 83 ' MINI5KIRTS-ON THE RI5E? In the past year we have had many new changes in fashion, music, and many other things. The MOD look which was v ery popular in the 60 ' s and has come back, the clothes wear, such as the short boots, berets, dangling earrings, the straight-legged pants, and the tight mini-skirts. New Wave, beginning last year, has taken hold. Hair styles changed rapidly, and the preppy look still lives. Funtimes and Pasttimes were enjoyed at Florentine Gardens, Hot Trax, and dances at Burbank High. Most weekends were spent mostly at these places, at friends ' houses, or even just relax- ing. Music was very popular this year, listening to KROQ with Ramondo and Blade waking us in the mornings. Concerts, beaches, skiing, and movies were great past-time such as Ghandi, Tootsie. and many others. Remember when guys had bumper stickers that read. NO FAT CHICKS! He was always nice, and that I admired He was well liked, and friends like him are hard to acquire. If he only knew how everyone felt He ' d flash one of his smiles, and his heart would melt. Things at school, well they just aren ' t the same People feel guilty, though no one ' s to blame. hey only say good things, and if he only knew he feelings that were never really expressed t ' wards you. bet he never realized he had so many friends. People that would have done anything for him up to the end. Oh Carl, yes Carl, now that you ' re gone Believe in your memory, for it will always linger on. Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am the diamond glint on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn ' s rain. When you awaken in the morning ' s hush. I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
