In 1974, she was awarded her Ed.D from University of Southern California. Mrs. Price has served as an Elementary Supervisor Acting Director of nursery school programs in Burbank. She taught in the Newhall School District for 5 years. In 1954, she returned to Burbank School and was appointed A. P. of Luther Burbank JHS from 1956 to 1967. Dr. Price came to Burbank SHS in 1968 as Assistant Principal. Dr. Price is an amazing woman, far more interested in others than in herself. Her job as Assistant Principal means getting to know people; her sympathetic nature understanding per- sonality is ideal for her position. The Ceralbus Staff 1981-82 wants to thank her for the efforts she has made in the past 13 years in making BHS the best ever. m _ D I H E L N R I C D I C A T I k i. The students have shown high school spirit as well as pride for their campus. Blue and white clothed students flocked the galls dur- ing Burbank ' s annual beat Burroughs (spirit) week. Hall decorating, and an Indian hunt were also categories in which the three clas- ses competed. Aside from being recognized as the class with the most spirit, the seniors received $50 towards their prom. The sophomores came in second with the juniors following in third. The overwhelm- ing turn-out of spirit week just goes to show that B.H.S. is better than ever. MOCK WEDDING MOCK TRIAL The Mock Trial is a state wide competition approved by the Constitutional Rights Foundation. High schools throughout the state try a hypothetical case involving civil rights. The purpose is to get a better understanding of the law and the way it works. It also provides a glimpse into the career of law. The com- petition took place at the Los Angeles Superior Court. All the trials were held in a real court room in front of real judges. We lost in the finals to Pacific Palisades High. They actually wentY through the process of figuring out how much the q honeymoon would cost, the church services, the W) reception, and other expenses. In attendance was hJ a real priest, a best man, the maid of honor, their j parents, and of course, the bride and groom. Mark DeNeal, and Gina Lake say their vows. Having only seven in their group, they had to work harder to win; and they did. It proves that it takes quality, not quantity to produce a winning Guard. They started the season with second place in the Westminster Parade followed by a second place in the Glendale Parade, followed by yet another second place in the Granada Hills Parade. They ended their competition season by placing second in the Palmdale Field Show beating crosstown rival Burroughs, who placed fourth.
