Those who wished higher education had To aTTe-nd school in The Glendale School DisNicT, However, in 1908, when Burbank began a high school disTricT of her own, a Twofsfory Frame building locaied aT San Fernando Road beTween Cypress and Grinnell was erecTed To accommodafe her own sTudenTs. This small school, Then called Union High School, was composed of Three Tiny classrooms wiTh only one Teacher and a principal To insTrucT The ForTy-Two regisTered sTudenTs. Class was lirsl held a year afTer iTs esTablishmenT in 1909. LaTer in 1922, The school was moved To iTs preseni locaTion aT Third and Fairmounf. Here iT was To remain and gain recogniTion For fulfilling iTs purpose in Turning l'orTh well- educaTed, good ciTizens in a rapidly growing world.
