. i Actions Helping to liven up our school spirit at games this year has been Mr. Duarte, Orchestra, Instrumental Training, and World History teacher. He also sponsors the new Dance Band. Mr. Boggis, head of the Music Department, leads the ACappella and Girls' Choir and directs the annual spring operetta. Another Girls' League Advisor is Mrs. Carson, a iunior English teacher. Coaching varsity basketball is Mr. Lockwood, who is also a Physical Education instructor. Mr. Minasian trains the baseball team, teaches P.E., and is sponsor of the Letterman's Club. Very active in student affairs is Modern Dance and Physical Education teacher, Miss Wolfson. Besides the annual Dance Performance and heading Drill Team, she advises the Big B Club, Replacing Mrs. Adams is Miss Barnett, as Advanced Sports instructor. She also advises GAA. Miss Flatley is Beginning Sports teacher and sponsors the GAA. Mr. Fredricksen is the print shop teacher' The print- ing students under his guidance put out the Hi Life and the CERALBUS, student body cards, programs, and num- erous other forms. Teaching many future mechanics is our BHS Machine Shop teacher, Mr. Kofahl, Mr. Chilton, Vocational Auto Shop instructor, is kept busy explaining and demonstrating the complicated mechanisms of the car to his pupils. Mrs, Blackstone, Problems of Democracy and Sen- ior Problems teacher, and co-advisor of the Girls' League, is new this year. Physical Science, a course offered to all students, is taught by Mr. Gilman. Both Problems of Democracy and World History are taught by Mr. Brown. TOP: Mr. Fredricksen and Mr. Kofahl are shown the auto shop distributor-tester by Mr, Chilton. TOP CENTER: Miss Wolfson, Miss Barnett, and Miss Flatley organize GAA activities for l955. BOTTOM CENTER: Faculty Chairman Lockwood informs Coach Minasian of the faculty meeting. BOTTOM RIGHT: Mr, Duarte and Mr. Boggis look on as Mrs Car- son thumbs through Practical English . BOTTOM LEFT.
