Maschino also anchored the mile relay squad (Tim Davidson, Steve Blumer, Paul Sasse, Mas- chino) that set a new school rec- ord at 3:32.0. BOTTOM RIGHT: Blazing to a victory in the 100 yd. dash, Phil Bejcek also led off the 880 and 440 yard relays as he upped his season point total from 2 points, in 1971 to 72 points in 1972. Other season highlights included a third place finish out of 80 teams at the indoor M.S.U. Spartan Relays, a fourth consecutive Regional title, and the winning of the con- ference trophy for the fifth year in a row.
