FRONT (L. TO R.): Dave Maschino, Roger McIntosh, Jesse Myers, Brian Marquardt, Chuck McDonald; 2nd ROW (L. TO R.): Richard Glenn, Kurt Twining, Harold Love, Tom Stone, Randy Schaefer; 3rd ROW (L. TO R.): Bill Thompson, Dave Kurfman, Glenn Johnson, Paul Sasse, Coach Peter Injasoulian. Marquardt Leads Lancer Five to 8-8 Season Leading the Lancers to an 8-8 regular season record this year was Brian Mar- quardt, hot shooting senior guard. Mar- quardt connected on a fantastic 53 percent from the floor as he set new school re- cords in both points scored (422) and point average (24.8). This topped the records set by Jim Kovacevich back in 1965 of 410 points and 24.1 points per game. First year Coach Peter Injasoulian's squad began the season without having one man who had ever started a varsity game, but they managed to find them- selves in the thick of battle in nearly every game. Marquardt, the team's Most Valuable Player, was a unanimous selection to the All- Conference team while Jesse Myers and Roger McIntosh got an honorable mention.
