This class hold such distinct honors as: Being the only class to hang a worm in effigy during Biology, the first Rembrandts of the Senior Walk, the originators of the annual Mr. Touchdown Dance, the winners of the tug-of-war over the mudhole during the Centennial Celebration, and the only class to wait 12 years for a graduation as they did not have an eighth grade graduation. Sponsoring the Silver Serenade, the first Christmas formal to be held in the new cafeteria, giving a successful car wash, and participating in Castle Capers were some of the activities of the Senior Class this year. Twelve years ago this Glorious Class started its crusade of knowledge at Bullard Elementary. They are Wendy de la Laing, social commissioner, Phil Coulston, vice president, Galen Fisher, president, and Diane Flaming, secretary- treasurer. Spirit was high among the Class of '62 this year and rumor has it that their great enthusiasm will increase during their remaining years at Bullard. Remember STU? Their desire to Stomp The Upperclassmen paid off when they triumphantly took lst place in the Inter-class Track Meet. They also came through with a 2nd in the Inter-class Swim Meet. Sponsoring the annual Mr. Touchdown Dance and giving a car wash and cake sale were main money raising projects for the Sophomores. Class rings. sweaters, and pins were purchased. This set a first at Bullard since no other class has had class pins. Keep up the spirit, Mighty Class of '62, and you'1l make Bullard prouder of you in your last two years. The seniors of three years hence, this year's freshmen, tackled a big project when they sponsored the Queen of Hearts Ball, aVa1entine's dance. Perhaps the greatest joy of the class, aside from the heralded success of the ball, was the crowning of Jane Morgan, the freshman queen representative, to reign over the evening's activities, Admirable performances in both the interclass track and swim meets were turned in by members of the class, especially considering the difference in years of experience. Together they stoodg together in all the tasks they undertook, the members of the Class of 1963 worked for a most enlightening year at Bullard High School. The first officers who represented the Class of 1963 at the high school are Jim Hughes, president, Judy Haig, social commissioner, Allan Melikian, vice president, and Jane Linschied, secretary-treasurer. Wwudq For the past three years the Bullard varsity baseball squad has ranked among the top teams in the San Joaquin Valley. The team that was produced this year was no exception. The team started the season with five wins, compared to only two losses. A tight schedule was met by the group, coached by Bob Bennett. Every member who participated in the varsity baseball program boasted considerable experi- ence prior to the 1960 season. playing for the school at least one year. Most players also had been in both local Babe Ruth and Little League competition.
