LA Ni a aoe = f fie Ht irr Tevet if O} ORIN eA YS pd DEDICATION CAREY LEE FRANKLIN August 29, 1956—May 3, 1971 “Rainy Days and Mondays” Talking to myself and feeling old. Sometimes I’d like to quit, nothing ever seems to fit. I’m hanging around, nothing to do but frown. Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. What I’ve got they used to call the blues. Nothing is really wrong, I’m just feeling like I don’t belong. Walking around, some kind of lonely clown. Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Funny, but it seems I always wind up here with you. It’s nice to know somebody loves me. Funny but it seems that it’s the only thing to do, run and find the one who loves me. What I feel has come and gone before. There’s no need to talk it out. We know what it’s all about. Hanging around, nothing to do but frown. Rainy days and Mond ays always get me down. We, the Annual Staff of 1974, dedicate our edition of “The Creek” to the loving memory of our former classmate and friend, Carey Lee Franklin. TABLE OF CONTENTS OM tee erie. Remember me when no more, day by day, You tell me of our future that you planned; Only remember me; you understand It will be late to counsel then or pray. Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterward remember, do not grieve; For if the darkness and corruption leave A vestige of the thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad.
