Class Prophecy As I reminisce, I recall my senior year at Buies Creek High School as being one which I shall never forget. Laughter, gaiety, fun, and sadness; all of these were shared by us. Ginny Upchurch wasn't able to attend our last class reunion due to a broken hip; she threw it out of joint while teaching dancing at Benson. O. B. Wallace was there but didn't look the same without his teeth. He began his dental career by pulling all of his own. Sherman Currin seemed to be a big wheel in some business in Las Vegas. Larry Upchurch is a certified public accountant, thus still maintaining his interest in figures. Alice Turlington is now head designer for General Motors. She supplies local auto dealer, Jerry Reaves, who retired from hell driving after setting a new demolition record. Janet Small took over as president of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after discovering a way to diminsh the cancer scare.'' Betty Sue Parker seemed to be quite satisfied with her job as Dean of Men at U.N.C. As head nurse at Dunn Hospital, Ann Arrington is busy keeping Cromartie Funeral Home inbusiness. Lynn Butts has become a famous cartoon artist; he draws himself. Johnny Lewis is now a policeman at the Benson Dance. Lloyd Chappell, the first astronut on the moon, from our class. Barry Howard is head coach at Harnett County's first consolidated school. Joyce Newton is a happily married housewife with a small family of nine. Linda Sue Butts is a housewife with a new set of twins. The last time it was quintuplets! Julia Wilburn is a beautician, specializing in people beyond help. Kay Dixon has become Mr. Butler's cook, maid, and housekeeper. She's also Mrs. Butler! Joe Gregory has become State's star basketball player. It was such a rewarding experience to meet my fellow classmates again.
