Class S Trophecy As we the Senior Class of 1962 depart from Buies Creek High School after graduation, we made plans to all meet again for a reunion 10 years from that very day. Now with a little foresight into the future we will try to picture that occasion, The reunion was held at the new home of Mrs, Maxwell, which over-looks beautiful Lake Campbell on the outskirts of Buies Creek, After a wonderful meal prepared by the women of the class, and the various speeches, we sat around reminiscing about the good-ole days, As I wandered from one group to another, I listened and learned something about the occupation of each member of our class, Herschel Avery is now living in Raleigh, where he owns a controlling interest in Sir Walter Chevro- let Company. Betsy Baucom is now married and living in Durham, Judy Beale is now teaching grade school in Florida, Harold Butts is now the proud owner of a chain of Mo-Go Service Stations, Morrison Byrd is now the owner of a Garage and Speed Shop in Erwin, Ann Currin is now happily married and teaching school in Houston, Texas, Floyd Daniels is now the manager of the Buies Creek Bus Terminal, Harry Ennis is now foreman on King Roberts Ranch, Suvon Gaskin is now working as a secretary for a Real Estate Firm. Elaine Gregory is now part owner of a cosmetics manufacturing company in Kentucky. Darlene Jackson is the wife of a most successful lawyer in Kenansville, Barbara Johnson is now a dental technician for the new Buies Creek Medical Center, Jesse Jernigan is now a coach and teacher at New Hanover High School in Wilmington. Don Johnson is now working as an aeronautical engineer for Boeing. Leon Jones is now one of the largest land owners, and farmers in the county. Brownie Kennedy is now teaching in the English Department at Campbell, Mike Lasater is now working as a civil engineer for the State, Donald Lee is now farming and at present is the County Roads Commissioner, William Sawyer is now the State District Manager for the Chrysler Corporation, Wanda Matthews is now a physical therapist at Walter Reed, Emory Upchurch is now manager for the Edgerton Oil Company Enterprises. Judy Carol Upchurch is now the private secretary of the governor of North Carolina, é The reunion is over; and everybody begins to leave, as I stand here, I wonder just what this group of people will be doing when the year 1982 rolls around. Don Johnson Prophet
