These were Evelyn Faye Royals, Jacqueline Matthews, Nancy Carole Pryor, Betty Sue Altman, Estelle Kisner Lanier, and Ola Mae Capps, We started to school in the Kivett Building at Campbell College. When we entered the fourth grade, we had a new building. Our freshman year arrived and we made our first appearance in high school, It was exciting, but we soon learned to settle down to the high school routine, Our sophomore year found us a little more settled. We had fun taking trips and in all had a very successful year, Then came our junior year, It was really a busy one. First we chose our class rings and then gave our junior play, Then came the very much worked for banquet, The theme, “Evening in Paris,” was well carried out, In a short time we were off for our class trip to Washington and New York, Everyone had a wonderful time and it was an experience we shall never forget, After three months which quickly slipped by we began a new year, We were filled with the enthusiasm of being seniors, While we were busy getting The Creek ready for the press, we gave the senior play, titled “Headin’ fer a Weddin’, Our Junior-Senior banquet was held in the spring. We had a wonderful time. We worked hard planning for graduation, but we enjoyed it because we knew we would soon be going our separate ways. Now that we must part, we hope we will meet often, We shall always look back to these days and the cherished memories of our school life at dear ole Buies Creek High,” Carmella Avery, Historian CLASS PROPHECY After being parted for ten years it was interesting to think of the dear ole Buies Creek Senior Class of 1957. Today, May 30, 1967, while the class was meeting we found that: Betty Sue Altman is single but is still looking for the right one while being manager of McKnight's Drug Store.
