Senior Class History Joyce Valeria Byrd was born on the 26th of June, 1935, in Erwin, N. C. She attended all twelve years of school at Buie’s Creek where she was in the Junior play, Senior play, glee club, 4-H club, and was a superlative. Ernest Lee Dechent was born on the 3rd of March, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the first, second and third grades at the Stuart School, the fourth and fifth grades at Edwards Military Institution, and the rest of his school days have been spent at Buie’s Creek where he has played basketball, was a superlative, and was in the Junior and Senior class plays. Sue Evelyn Dixon was born on the 28th of September, 1935 in Buie’s Creek. She attended all twelve years at Buie’s Creek where she was a class officer, was in the music club, a class superlative, in the 4-H club, in the glee club and has played basketball. Robert Edward Gaskin was born on the 8th of March, 1935, near Lillington. He has attended all twelve years at Buie’s Creek where he played baseball and was a m ember of the 4-H club. Mary Lou Harrington was born September 23, 1936, and she attended Garner before coming to Buie’s Creek where she played softball, was in the 4-H club, in the glee club, senior play, was a class officer, superlative, cheerleader, and a member of the annual staff. Joel Hodges was born on the 20th of September, 1935, near Lillington. He has gone to the Buie’s Creek School all twelve years and was a member of the 4-H club, and a superlative. Mary Joe Howard was born on the 16th of May, 1935, in Buie’s Creek. She has attended all twelve years here at Buie’s Creek, and has played softball, basketball, was a cheerleader, in the glee club, was a class officer, superlative, was in the Junior and Senior plays, and a member of the annual staff. Annie Jane Lockamy was born on the 16th of February, 1932, in Erwin, N. C. During her twelve years of schooling here she was in the 4-H club and FHA. Johnny Stewart McLamb was born on the 18th of September, 1935, near Lillington. He has played baseball, basketball, was a class superlative, class officer, in the Senior play during his twelve years here. Gene Russell Stewart was born on the 29th of December, 1934, in Varina, N. C. He has attended all twelve years at Buie’s Creek where he played baseball, basketball, was a bus driver, class officer, superlative, appeared in the Senior play, and was on the annual staff. Rother Melvin Stone, Jr., was born on May 8, 1934, near Lillington. He has spent the twelve years of his school life at Buie’s Creek where he has played basketball, was in the 4-H club, was a bus driver, a superlative, was on the annual staff, and in the Junior and Senior plays. Billy Orboron Upchurch was born July 18, 1934, in Mount Olive, N. C. He has attended all twelve years of school here where he played basketball, baseball, was a class officer, superlative, and was in the Senior play.
