SENIOR CLASS FISTORY Marian Larice Baker was born on the 14th of September, 1934, in Buie’s Creek. She attended all twelve years at Buie’s Creek, where she played basketball, was a member of the 4-H Club, class superlative, and a member of the annual staff. Betty Ann Butts was born on the 23rd of May, 1934, in Buie’s Creek, where she has spent all twelve years of school. She has taken music, been cheerleader, basketball player, superlative, a member of the 4-H Club, on the annual staff, class editor for the Datly Record, and class officer. Charles Findley Chambers was born on the 8th of October, 1933, in Buie’s Creek. He was out of school for one year, but came back as a junior and is graduating with us this year. He is also on the annual staff. Wesley Bond Denton was born on the 28th of September, 1934, near Buie’s Creek. He has been a member of the annual staff, 4-H Club, on the basketball and baseball teams, and a superlative. William Hudson Green was born August 9, 1933, on Lillington Rt. 1. He has participated in the 4-H Club for two years, is on the annual staff, and was bus driver. William Raymond Henshaw was born in Talladega, Alabama, on January 1, 1934. He attended one year in Jonesview and has been with us ever since. He has played basketball, baseball, has been a class officer, superlative, member of the annual staff, bus driver, and member of the 4-H Club. Billy Worth Lanier was born in Buie’s Creek on September 27, 1934. For the first three years of school he was in Buie’s Creek. He attended the fourth and fifth grades in Virginia, but came back here and has been with us since. He has been a member of the 4-H Club, a class officer, manager of the basketball teams, superlative, and is on the annual staff. Mavie Agnes Mangum was born on August 7, 1934, on Angier Rt. 2. She has been a cheerleader, basketball player, 4-H Club member, music student, class officer, superlative, softball player, and is on the annual staff. Frances Elizabeth Matthews was born in Buie’s Creek on August 12, 1934. During high school, she has been a member of the 4-H Club, a class officer, super- lative, and on the annual staff. Edna Lee Page was born on November 30, 1933, in Buie’s Creek. She has attended all twelve years of school in Buie’s Creek except for two months that she went to Dunn while in the fourth grade. She has been on the basketball and softball teams, a 4-H Club member, class officer, superlative, a member of the annual staff, and she worked in the cafeteria her senior year. William Clarence Rogers was born January 2, 1934, in Buie’s Creek. In his high school years he played basketball and baseball, has been a class officer, member of the 4-H Club, superlative, on the annual staff, and a bus driver. Max Gilbert Sox was born on August 7, 1934, near Erwin. He attended school at Coats and Lafayette, but has been here all through high school. He was a member of 4-H, and is on the annual staff. Margaret Ann Stafford was born in Asheville on June 1, 1934. She attended school there for two years. At the beginning of the third grade she came to Buie’s Creek where she has been a member of the 4-H Club, a class officer, superlative, music student, a member of the annual staff, and kitchen worker. Callie Belle UpChurch was born on January 5, 1933, in Harnett County. She has been a member of the 4-H Club, a superlative, and is on the annual staff. Jefferson Woodrow UpChurch, Jr., was born near Erwin on July 20, 1934. He has been a member of the 4-H Club, played baseball and basketball, was a superlative, class officer, class editor for the Daily Record, was on the annual staff, and in his senior year, a bus driver.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Marian Baker has gained much fame as an opera singer taking over Tallulah Bankhead’s place on the Big Show. Betty Ann Butts is winning Fame for herself by accompanying Marian over N. B.C. Findley Chambers is now the largest tobacco farmer in the south and is sitting back rolling his own. Wesley Denton is now star pitcher for the St. Louis Browns. Billy Green has inherited Matthews Oil Company and is the head knocker of the Atlantic Refining Company . Bill Henshaw is a professor of history at Woman's College. Billy Lanier is now Melvin Turlington's head carpenter. Agnes Mangum we hear is married and has settled down and is one of the high society ladies at the city of Buie’s Creek. Edna Lee Page is now manager of the Roses 5 and 10¢ stores. Elizabeth Pulley is running Verla’s reducing parlor in downtown Buie’s Creek. Frances Matthews is now teaching Home Economics at State College. Billy Rogers has settled down and has a thriving business in the heart of Little Africa. Max Sox is now leading big game expeditions in Africa. Ann Stafford is teaching piano in Vienna School of Music in Italy. Callie Belle Upchurch is still undecided what she will do the rest of her life and at the present is still taking it easy. Woody Upchurch has finally gotten himself a drug store of his own in Coats, and is now a noted pharmacist.
