A goal to worh for The members of the National Honor Society are selected on leadership, char- acter, service, and scholarshipg they are from the upper third of the junior and senior classes. This is a high scholastic honor. After living by a plan for a year, Melba, Patsy, Peggy and Arlene were awarded a gold torch, a symbol of their state degree achievement. Larry Lincecum and Larry Loughmiller are both finalists in the National Merit examination. This test is given by the Educa- tional Testing Service to boys and girls all over the U. S. This is quite an honor as both Larrys' placed among the top two per cent of all those who took it.
