This is a high scholastic honor. After living by a plan for a year, Melba, Patsy, Peggy and Arlene were awarded a gold torch, a symbol of their state degree achievement. Larry Lincecum and Larry Loughmiller are both finalists in the National Merit examination. This test is given by the Educa- tional Testing Service to boys and girls all over the U. S. Our band was also very fortunate to have seven of its members represent Buhl in the Idaho Nlusic Fducators Conference All- State B-ind. This clinic is held every other year.
