We, the Senior Class of 1957 Dedicate this annual to our teachers of the past four years--Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Conroy, Mr. Hageness. and Mr. Gay. These teach- ers have been a great help to us during our high school years, and we wish to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to them for their efforts. We also want to wish them lots of luck in the future. This page sponsored by Parrish Motor Co., Bob's Standard Service, Potter Grocery, and The Office Bar. 1 FACULTY Ervin O. They were Dale Beckman, Janis Beckman, Arthur Dover, Donald McKinlay. Lois Oliver, and Roger Petersen. Our teacher for the first year was Pearle Philips. In our second year we were greeted by a new teacher, Shirley Donaman, with Karl Lane as a new student. Lois Oliver wasn't in our grade that year. In our third year of school, we found that we were missing three of the previous year’s students, Janis and Dale Beckman, and Karl Lane. We had a new teacher, Arlene Largent, and three new students, Benita Steel, Joann Rung and Larry Oliver. Beginning our fourth year we were all excited because we were in a different room. Benita Steel was not with us that year. Our teacher for that year was Vera Greenslate. In the fall of 1949, we were greeted by our new teacher, Mary Nevin, and a new student, Michael Collins. We did not have Larry Oliver in our class that year In our sixth year of school, we found that we still had Mary Nevin as our teacher. We also had Carol Wetzel and Mary Rose Ramirez as new students. Michael Collins had left for Washington. In the seventh grade, we again found ourselves in a new room with a new student, Sylvia Wilson. We also had Mr. Wilson to take the place of Mrs. Nevin. One of our classmates, Carol Wetzel, had left us to go to school in Straw. In 1952, we were welcomed by Mrs. Moyer, our new teacher with Donald McKiniay again joining us as a classmate. Sylvia Wilson had left us that year. We were now a class of five students: Donald McKinlay, Roger Petersen, Arthur Wilber, Arthur Dover, and Joann Rung. In our Freshman year, we welcomed Carol Wetzel back again. We were all initiated as all of the new students up to that time had been. We enjoyed it and that day was a day none of us Freshmen will forget. The Sophomore year found no new students but the teacher, Mr. Gay, had been replac- ed by Mr. Hageness. The Junior class of 1955 started with no new members. We were a very busy class that year. We sponsored the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Junior Prom, both of which were great successes. Seniors at last! Roil call found Roger Petersen, Arthur Wilber, Arthur Dover, Carol Wetzel, and Joann Rung enrolled. At least we hope that there will be five Seniors who will get their diplomas on May twenty-second. As we leave the cherished halls of our dear old school, we would like to will to the un- derclassmen, the following tried and worn out possessions: JOANN RUNG wills to John, her ability to talk all the time. He should to use it. Pat, her privilege to leave the lunchroom first so she can beat Floyd to the ping-pong table. Dennis, her wads of gum in her desk in the English Room. Sharon, her old shorthand notes. Maybe she can decipher them, 1 can’t. ARTHUR DOVER wills to Donald, his ability to grow “tall in the saddle.” Sharon, his huge appetite, and his big feet. Floyd his even temper. John, his good Latin grades and his ability to sneak quietly through the halls. ROGER PETERSEN wills to Leona, his ability to make a lot of noise. John, his ability to talk majestically and coherently. Floyd, his desk in the front of the room and all the paper in it. Dennis, his chemistry book and formulas, maybe he can figure them out. I never could! ARTHUR WILBER wills to Victor, his short pencils and fast cars. John, his ambition. Pat, his last sheet of typing paper. CAROL WETZEL wills to Donald, her ability to come to class on time. Pat, her perfect attendance record, in hopes that it will be of same good to her in the future. Victor, her dilapidated bookkeeping books. They might do him some good during the next two years if he can read them. Leona, her place as cheerleader and the tattered and torn yell book, which was a cherished possession during basketbcdl season. TO OUR TEACHERS we will the following: Our battered and scribbled school books. Our desks full of chewing gum, old papers, and pieces of pencils. And, last but not least, our “excellent” grades and our outstanding ability to answer questions brilliantly.
