SENIOR CLASS In September, 1944, 7 scared little first graders started to school. They were Maralyn Dover, Ginger Corey, Rosalie Bloom, Genevieve McDonald, Jack Itami, Lar- rey Oliver and Arthur Wilbur. The teacher was Pearle A. Phillips. In the second grade all of the first graders were back with the exception of Jack Itami. The teacher was again Pearle A. Phillips. Our third grade was larger than the second grade with Patty Lane and Robert Crab- tree joining the class. The teacher was Miss Donovan. The 4th grade teacher, Miss Vera Greenslate, had a large class although Arthur Wil- bur and Patty Lane had dropped out in the third grade. This year we had the additions of Sharon Hall, John McKinley and Billy Hansen. The fall of 1948 found our class with an enrollment of 7 students, Lloyd Crabtree, Robert Crabtree, John McKinley, Maralyn Dover, Rosalie Bloom, Ginger Corey and Genevieve McDonald. This year we again had Miss Vera Greenslate as our teacher. The sixth graders found themselves with a new teacher, Mrs. Mary Nevin, and one new student, Dennis Woodard. This, year we lost Ginger Corey. In the fall of 1950 the seventh graders found themselves in a different room with a new teacher, Mr. Merle Darcangelo This class was less one student, John McKinley. The 8th grade class found themselves with the same members as the seventh grade but there was a new teacher, Mr. Chris Wilson. The fall of 1952 found the 9th grade class looking forward to being seniors although they were only little old freshmen. We were again joined by John McKinley. The teachers this year were Mr. William Kennedy, Miss Stickler, Mr and Mrs. Frank Moyer and Mr. Kenneth Conroy. The 10th grade class found themselves with the same members of the year before with the exception of John McKinley although he joined us again at the beginning of the 2nd semester. This year we had as our teachers, Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Conroy, and Mr. Ray Gay. Our Junior year found us with a new member, Mary McKinley. We also had a new teacher, Mr, Hagensess. The roll call of our Senior year found us with 4 memebers but Genevieve McDonald and Lloyd Crabtree transferred leaving Maralyn Dover and Robert Crabtree as the only- seniors to be honored at the Junior-Senior Banquet. We again had Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Conroy and Mr. Hagenese as our instructors. 10

CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1956, with great sorrow realize we will soon be gone from our cherished school. We wish to leave a few tokens of remembrance to our friends and classmates. To our teachers who have been so faithful, understanding, and helpful, we express our deep appreciation and thanks. To Mr. Kennedy We leave our cooperative spirits. To Mr. Hageness All of our off pitched music notes1' that are still float- ing in space. To Mr. Conroy We leave our deplorable grammar and spelling. We bequeath the following to the under classmen: ROBERT WILLS TO Arthur Wilber his ability to shine on the basketball floor. Carol his ability to keep calm. Dennis and Ralph Best his ability to be on time. Victor his physique. Pat his fairly good algebra grades. Rodney his popularity. MARALYN WILLS TO Art Dover her position as Editor of the school paper The Booster . Joann her inability to gain weight. Roger her enjoyment of playing the accordian. Victor her voice in the chorus. Floyd the A's and B's on her report card. Dennis Kennedy the parts of her Model A Ford and what's left of the tires. (You can use them on you wheelbarrow. ) Leona her liking of potatoes and gravy. (Hope they will do for you what they haven't done for me.) The Seniors wish to thank the parents and community for all they have done to make our education possible. The Seniors also leave to the school their worn and tattered books, our spirit of cooperation and we also leave our underclassmen who will carry on the activities for another school term. 11
