PASSING-ON Minute by minute, as the hours turn to days, We all must tarry and go our separate ways. We shield each other from the pain and hurt we see. For we must stay together from now to eternity. The places we may go and the people we shall see. They reflect upon us all, each individually. We share each others dreams, and we share each others time. We escape the Pandamonium for the peace that we might find. As we look back on the past, then to the future now ahead, We look to each other and the paths that we have led. Pass-on your joys, pass-on your fears, And all the knowledge you've learned over the years. For these are the greatest that we can give, Our joy for love and our will to live. b Christy Beltz

The BUFFALO GALS Most people think it's easy to be a Buffalo Gal; but there's a lot more to it. Like being at school at 7:00 in the morning to get ready for football games; and marching your legs off for countless parades; and withstanding temperature levels of 90° and above, and 40° and below. Well, it isn't that easy! The Buffalo Gal's Drum and Bugle Corp is a pre- cision group of 37 high school females. This year the Gals marched at a variety of different events. They always added a certain festivity and pride to home football and basketball games. Away from home, they showed their pride and spirit even more. At the be- ginning of the year, they marched at the S.M.S.U. Homecoming where they brought home first out of six other drum corps. They also brought home the most spirited award out of the thirty-one marching units there. The Gals also marched at the Neewollah Parade in Independence, Kansas, The School of the Ozarks Parade, and many other Christmas and spring parades. The Gals are under the supervision of Brian Elhard. Pictured at the right is Head Majorette Joan Farrell. 18
