Honors 17 1 i I h Sports Vo-Tech 145 August 1978 TIME May 1979 Readers, The Annual Staff chose the theme for the 1979 Bison Annual as TIME . Ask yourself the question, What is TIME? Everyone has their own definition for TIME. TIME could mean the minutes on a watch. It also can mean the different decades in a century. TIME means a multitude of things to different individuals. The Annual Staff picked TIME because our job is to record the TIMES that happ ed in the 1978-79 school year. We did this by photographs, but also written words to help each one recall the times that happened. The cover of the '79 Bison Annual represents the changes in TIME. Our styles in dress, technology, and lifestyles have changed consid- erably. Think about the TIME past, the change to TIME present, and what TIME future will bring us. The sections in this yearbook are recording the present. The first section is entitled Student Life. In this, we have tried to capture TIME from 8:45 to 3:35, the average night life of the student, and the things that meant the most to us. Through the school year we've laughed, cried, loved and shared many memories together. There is one thing to remember about time. The gift of TIME is life A life is a wonderful thing, but only if you share the laughter, love, and even tears with others. ME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME We are close to the end of the 1970's. We look back over the years and see a lot of changes that TIME has brought us. A lot of new fads were brought in during the 78-79 school year. A few of those would include the change from the 52 Chevy's to the fast and sporty cars. Hairstyles have changed from long and straight to afros, feathered bangs and the layered look. Clothing has changed a lot from mini skirts to dresses below the knees and blue jeans. Pleated pants, velour tops, and the plum color really made it big, too. Dancing has changed in the 70's. The type of dancing we have now is known as Disco. LAST OF THE 70’S Finishing A Decade Everyone looks forward to graduation. Now in the last of the 70's the seniors of 1979 are finishing a decade and be- ginning to start a new decade as well as beginning an en- tirely new life The seniors see that it is sort of scary experi- ence, especially for those who have yet to seek what the future has in store. The future frightens some, yet thrills others who have their life patterns laid out and know what they're getting into. If we could turn TIME back and start over again, would we try harder, start thinking about the future sooner? TIME has passed . . . there's no turning back . . . just a future to think about. . . and a great year to top off the 1970's. 2
