In the time we spent making this annual we have molded it, as the water does to land, by surges of creativity and good group efforts and contributions. This year's staff has worked hard to contribute to the annual and our new sponsor, Mr. Wood has been a great force behind the staff. I wish you the best for the future. And because I love it I try to free it from barren traditions that stifle it. It is a free art gushing forth, an open-air art boundless as the elements, the wind, the sky, the sea. MIKE WORLEY In Memory Of Charolette And Mike. Charolette Killian In your silence, you were an angel, little lady And boy, in your laughter and boisterous fun you were a wise man with fables unspun. A strong slow wind brushed the sunny autumn sky and before a soul could say goodbye Two beautiful leaves hit the soft, solemn ground Whispered voices asking why were lost in their sound and a heavenly stillness remained. Every game that starts must end A branch that breaks will have to bend To each hello, somewhere, a so long To this rhyme, a tune a song sung long by the leaves that still remain, that miss the quiet angel and the laughing young man amidst the winter's windburn and the summer's tan. -Susan Atteberry Michael Joe Smith 82 One More Time! The Greeks strived for physical and mental well being just as rigorously as many do today. The idea of trying to seek after perfection of the body and the mind are perhaps not stressed in such a form currently, but the goal of achieving the best one can possibly do is. Keen sports and science competitions are held just as they were in ancient days. The rewards of becoming a winner or achiever in each category is for the feeling of self pride and satisfaction that can be reached by the amount of effort and work put out. Perhaps this seems like a trivial point but this philosophy has been maintained in societies for many centuries. 128 1. Hoi Dog. made another point. says Coach Floyd Willis. 2. They have to deal with children that aren't children any more but not old enough for responsibility. It is also hard for the teacher because much of the influence they have on children is how they will turn out in the future.
