Basketball Requires Much Preparation Three members of the girls basketball The Band and Choral Departments alternate the responsibility of the Star Span- team practice in order to be ready for their led Banner, next game. Cheerleaders help to keep the crowd full of spirit as the game progresses. Preparation for a basketball game takes many forms: the players must practice and become physi¬ cally fit, cheerleaders must learn new cheers, the Rally Club must prepare new signs for each game, the game goers must plan to at¬ tend the games and provide moral support for the teams. Spirit signs serve as stimuli to game goers. A friendly feeling between teams is very important. BASKETBALL CANDIDS 27
