The seven honored seniors were Carole Darling, Lyfton,- Kenneth Green, Rockwell City,- Marilyn Green, Storm Lake; Suzanne Johnson, Terril; Donald Koebele, Grand Junction; Maureen McKenna, Storm La ke,- and Tom Hatton, Fort Dodge. These students were named by both the faculty and the Student Council as outstanding in their class. Membership in Who ' s Who is based on scholarship, leadership, participation and co-operation in college activi- ties, general citizenship in the community, and promise of future success. Student Council The Student Council is composed of students representing the four classes. The work of the Student Council begins with many activities that are included in Freshman Orientation Week. Through their combined efforts and that of the student body and faculty, this group also plans and directs all Homecoming activities. Two major all-college formals were sponsored by the Council. The Winter Formal was held in December, and the annual Spring Formal was held in May. This spring the Student Council again organized the student body into a Campus Carnival. The proceeds from this gala event were added to the Victory Arch fund. The Student Council not only served as a liaison between the stu- dents and the administration, but it guided and encouraged the var- ious organizations on campus.
