Entre Nous Entre Nous, the non-sorority organization for girls on campus, functioned under the able leadership of President Arlene Marker. T The rushing tea was held September 29, at the home of Mrs. H. C. Davidson. October ll marked their initiation tea and formal pledging took place October 25. They also sponsored a most successful Christmas party December l3 in Svvope Hall. The othcers for the year were, Arlene Marker, presi- dent, Mary Lou Otteman, vice-president, Anita Lewis, treas- urer, Wilma Ferris, secretary, Marlene Johnson, historian, and Norma Dicks, reporter. A tea was held at the home ot Mrs. A. G. Gran and a banquet was held in the Storm Lake Room at the Cobblestone Inn. Pledges took their initial pledge on October 4th at their annual pledge party. Homecoming was one ot the highlights this year with the Betas winning Grand Sweepstakes in the Homecoming parade. They supported two candidates tor homecoming queen. The traditional Homecoming luncheon was held at the Cobblestone Inn. A Othcers tor the i954-55 year were: Betty Roth, president, Ruth Kuhn, vice-president, Jo Ann Wright, secretary, Jo Mill, treasurer, and Carol Hammer, librarian. Miss Skewis and Mrs. K. Student Library Committee The Buena Vista College Student Library Committee is in its second year of being an organization ot merit on the Buena Vista College Campus. This committee is the liaison group between the student body and the Faculty Library Committee. This group cooperates with the Faculty Library Committee, but they remain a separate and distinct committee. They aid in developing the library in all phases ot library endeavors, as well as in developing the student interest in the library. This is the only committee ot its nature in a college or university in the United States. The members are shown examining the first purchase from the O'DONOGl-IUE - Cl-IRISTENSEN BUENA VISTA COLLEGE LIBRARY FOUNDATION. This purchase resulted in a new set of the ENCYCLO- PAEDIA BRITANNICA and the accompanying WORLD ATLAS. The olticers this year are: Charles Bryant, president, Al Wirtz, vice- president, Sylvia A.
