Roger Anderson Ben Boldt Charles Bryant Bill Fahan Whois Who Eight Seniors will represent Buena Vista College in the i954-55 edition ot Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Roger Anderson, Ben Boldt, Charles Bryant, Bill Fahan, Robert Haarup, Joan Logsolon, Jo Ann Mill and Jay Shelp achieved this distinction. Chosen by the student council tram a list prepared by a faculty committee, the students are selected according to scholarship, leadership, participation and cooperation in activities, general citizenship, and promise ot tuture success. Their names will appear in the publication which lists students who have achieved outstanding recognition from all universities and colleges. ROGER ANDERSON, Storm Lake, is a music major. Roger has been active in band, choir and ensemble. BEN BOLDT, Larrabee, is a business and speech major. A tour year member ot Circle K he has been ,active in choir and ensemble. Ben is also president ot Student Council. CHARLES BRYANT, Sulphur Springs, is a music major. A member of Sigma Tau Delta the past tour years, Charles has participated in drarnatics and all musical activities. BILL FAHAN, Yetter, is a English-Speech major. He has acted as president ot both Sigma Tau Delta and Pi Kappa Delta. Bill has played leading roles in tour major play productions and served B. V. Players all tour years. He is also a tinerdebator. ROBERT HAARUP, Storm Lake, is a music major. Bob was manager and later president ot the Band. Choir and ensemble have taken his extra time, JOAN LOGSDON, Boone, is an Education major. Her work on the T954 Log and as managing editor ot the Tack led to her appointment as Tack Editor her Senior.year. One' ot the busiest girls on the campus, Joan has served as vice-president ot the Phi Alphs, and as secretary ot E.T.A. and Sigma Tau Delta. JO MILL, Sioux City, is a Physical Education major. Her time has been devoted between the vice-presidency ot the VVomen's Governing Board, treasurer and later president at the Delta Phi Beta, vice-president ot the Junior Class and an energetic participant in concert and marching band. Jo is a charter member ot the Natural Science Club and has served as secretary ot that organization her Junior and Senior years. Jo is also president ot the VVomen's Recreational Association. JAY SHELP, Auburn, is an English-Speech major. He has been a major dramatic asset to the college by his work in major plays and B. V. Players. The United Student Christian Association was established on campus in order to guide and direct Christian activities and promote a development ot spiritual lite by means ot church services, discussions, guest speakers, Elms and chapel services. ln its third year the organization has accomplished many things tovvard promoting a vvell-rounded Christian education. The tree lighting service and the Christmas chapel service are under the guidance ot this organization.
