Dedicated Pair Share Award It is altogether fitting that the dedica- tion for the 1980 rendition of Los Coyotes should go to two especially colorful individuals, Mrs. Yvonne Boutin and Mr. George Giokaris. In a recognition ceremony at the pub- lications banquet, Los Coyotes Editor- in-Chief Dorothy Hebert officially an- nounced the dedication and presented Mrs. Boutin and Mr. Giokaris compli- mentary copies of the 1980 yearbook. No one could be more deserving of this honor, said Dorothy. All of us on the staff are proud to have produced the first BP yearbook to be dedicated to two individuals, and, of course, we are espe- cially pleased to have such outstanding teachers as recipients of the dedica- tion. A former professional singer, Mrs. Boutin has successfully adapted her ex- pressive style to the varied needs of con- temporary high school English and speech classrooms. As a result, she has become one of the most popular faculty members at BP and a source of inspira- tion to hundreds of students in her years here. A creative, people-oriented educator, Mrs. Boutin enjoys the respect of her colleagues, the admiration of her friends and the love of her students and family. Her gentle nature and rare sense of har- mony will long be remembered as one of the highlights of this year ' s rainbow . Mr. Giokaris, or Gio to his many friends at BP, completes his fifth year in 1979-80 as a Coyote teacher and coach. It is a testament to his overwhelming popularity among students and staff that he receives the yearbook dedication in this his first year of eligibility. Dr. Jack Holm said, Personality is Mr. Giokaris ' realm. He is clearly one of the most widely admired individuals on campus. Serving this year as Athletic Director as well as teacher and coach, Mr. Gio- karis functions near the center of all ac- tivities at BP. He is a vital member of both the social science and language de- partment, offering his special magic to appreciative students in ISS and Ger- man classes.
