School Administrators The School Administrators are very vital people. They are important to both Buena Park High School students and the faculty. We are very proud to have understanding and efficient persons such as Mr. Eugene Vitamanti, Mr. Rito Rios, and Mrs. Catherine Killeen. These people really seem to care about the present and future of students and faculty. Tedious tasks like co-ordinating student activities, stu- dent government, curriculum, and discipline fall on the shoulders of these educators. MR. EUGENE VITAMANTI Dean of Students L 1 1i I MRS. School Administrators MR. RICHARD H. SPAULDING Principal The gracious and friendly Mrs. Eleanor Kemper has a dual role at Buena Park High School. She serves as Vice-Principal and Dean of Instruction. Mrs. Kemper came to Buena Park in 1956 as Dean of Girls. In 1960 she assumed the duties of Vice-Principal and Dean of Instruction. Not only does she act as the Principal ' s Representative, but she is responsible for supervising instruction, help- ing plan the curriculum, and co-ordinating the de- partment heads and lead teachers. Pursuing her vital interest in students, Mrs. Kem- per has guided Girls ' League for ten years. Gracious, helpful — a friend. Wise, efficient, dedicated. These words very aptly describe Buena Park High School ' s Principal, Mr. Richard H. Spaulding. Mr. Spaulding welcomed the first Buena Park student tjody in 1956. Each year he has awakened students to the opportunities that surround them. His first official appearance before the student body occurs at the Opening Day Ceremonies each year. Aside from his many official duties, Mr. Spaulding always finds time to be a warm and jovial friend to the students. In his search for a better education for students at BP, Mr. Spaulding attended the NASSP Conven- tion in Cleveland, Ohio February 5-9. In Rambling Reactions From A Wandering Westerner, a memo to the faculty, he described his travel experiences. Wise, efficient, dedicated — a friend. MRS. ELEANOR KEMPER Dean of Instruction Vice-Principal
