R esponsiblilties in citizenship to everyone of us you teach, And we as your students know you practice what you preach. Constitutional committee is the name of a clan, Composed of our students who drew up a plan. Arriving at student government and student organization, From this group of students Thank You for your dedication. Let the Seniors of 60 , to their sponsor say Thank You Many things you gave us, time and service naming two. Very little can be done to return what you have given, But people like you receive their rewards in Heaven. E ducation is your field and though wealth you'll never hold, The respect and love of your students will be of purest gold. Rallies, trips, dances, dust, snows, or rains, Buena you've helped with its growing pains. T hough through the years we may forget, as time dims the mind Much of our high school life, but yet, we feel that we will find, Wherever we may be, a sweet old man who is known as Mr, C. .hr c . , , - W ,, .swam-wx, ,mmxhmwwgwaid gm-vw-N WA!15fQ5ef.?fu--'lf' Suprfrirzteudmfs ,Message For the thi r d year of Buena High we will have the school facilities and the staff to offer all students opportunities forfurtherdevelop- ment in a wide variety of subjects. This will enable us to achieve 50470 of the purpose of the school. The responsibility for completing the re- maining half of our goal rests entirely upon the students. If the opportunities are not accept- ed, ifthe students do not accede the challenge to further their education, then the school and the school patrons have suffered considerable loss. ' Let us make this year and everykyear an educational experience that will reap benefits 'for all of our lives. Let us shoulder the re- sponsibility of p r e p a. r i ng for the future and grasp opportunity when it is offered to us . Haard of fdumtian BOARD Lto R: Mr. Little, Mr. Keating, Mr. Nott, Presidentg Mr. Kincaid, Secretaryg Mr . Barchas . Principal 's Message Memories of high s chool friendships, joys and happiness, seemingly indelible upon the heart, often tend to fade with time. Here, brief glimpses of the past year have been recorded, with the hope that they will brighten many memories. The 1960 YEARLING has captured the joys and triumphs of our days atBuena High. On Jimmy Robertson's shoulders, rested the Senior tripg As Senior activities moved along at a steady? clip. We gave dances and raffles, took money from all, With coke sales, Beat dance, and Sno-Ball. Mr. Calvert solved problems of the American type, While we swore that we never again would write, Of colleges, careers, and constitution, Of schools, scapegoats, and substitution. While Mr, Bock snapped pictures of freshman initiation, For the YEARLING we cut and ruined them without hesitation. With dreaded deadlines hanging over our heads, We started each section with new fears and dreads. Lovely Lady Macbeth we'l1 always remember, Thinking of Mrs. Macgowan, though not of the same timber. We studied quite hard for tomorrow and tomorrow Though not hard enough, much to our sorrow. CHARLES P. ARMES QChuckQ Future Plans: College Hobbies: Models Activities: Chess lg Electronics Club 3.
