This ls the Class That Was diploma from Dr. Wenner President of the Board of Education. The 99th graduating class of B.H.S. held com- mencement exercises Nlay 29, 1968, in the high school gym. Speakers for the ceremonies included two seniors, Pam Stevens and Dean Schell, who gave student addresses. The guest speaker, Dr. P. H. Augustine, was introduced by Superintendent Dr. John P. Toth. Presentations were made by Bill Usher and Sherry Frey. As president of the Senior class, Bill Usher stated that the class would do- nate its entire fund of S600 to the Alex Kish Nle- morial Scholarship Fund. Nlelvin Slaughter as Jun- ior class president, accepted the sum. lVlr. Carter then presented the 204 Seniors to President of the School Board, Dr. Wenner who awarded the di- plomas. After the singing of the Alma Mater by the class of '68 the Seniors filed out leaving behind them the High school halls and high school walls -the B.H.S. they love. Above: Girls' Booster Club presented pen sets to the ten Seniors with the highest point averages. President of the club, Sherry Frey, congratulating Dawn Taylor, one of the ten. Left: A Dash of Blue Paint , was the keynote of Dean SchelI's student ad- dress at the commencement ceremonies. Dean pointed out that every student in his graduating class had a vital part in the world of today and tomorrow.
