Snowball Highlights Holiday Season The highlight of the holiday season was the an- nual Snowball sponsored by the Inter-Club Coun- cil. Decorations included streamers and gigantic crepe paper ornaments in Christmas colors hung from the ceiling. Over fifty couples danced to the music provided by the Robert Batton Dance Band. The center of attention was a huge snowman standing in the middle of the dance floor. Barb Gephardt and Henry Felkey stop to inspect it. , ' 'ft' in i ,X 1 gn Standing beneath some imaginary mistletoe, Jan Jones and Jon Grimes get into the holiday spirit. Despite the rainy, dreary night of November 3, 1968, a capacity crowd witnessed the crowning of Miss Bobbi Lambert as Home- coming Queen. Bobbi and her court, comprised of Patty Williams, Polly Anslow, Jan Cochran and Lottie Wilkes were honored at the traditional Homecoming dance in the high school gym, following a 27-O victory over Tiffin Columbian. l6

Varsity Night Draws Capacity Crowd Varsity Night 1968, sponsored by Senior Hy-Y, filled the house. The Hi-Y boys, with their ad- viser lVlr. Matula, put in long hours of hard work to make it a success. Four clubs presented skits in the competition. First place went to Speech Club, second, Future Nurses Clubg third, Library Club: and fourth place, Band. ln-between skits were presented by members of Hi-Y. The highlight of the evening was the queen competition. Sixteen of the various clubs were represented by their elected candidate in the contest. Miss Poly Anslow was selected to reign as Varsity Night Queen of 1968. 'Riff e As last year's queen, Miss Jessie Helfrich, places the crown on Polly's head, master of ceremonies Lee Bridges waits to present her with a bouquet of a dozen red roses.
