SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Jerry Tablet Preridenl ,fwfr Nancy Schieber Beth Iohnston Rodney Shofner Vice Prendenl Secremm Treayurer September of 1953 saw our cl ss f 58 proudly loin the ranks of senior high school students This was the year that we began earn credits for that graduation day so far in the future Although me knew we were low man on the high school totem pole ue were glad to be a part of a harder busier and more exciting phase of our school career Ferenc Szasz our President and Mrs Miller our advisor helped to make our first year a good beginning for the rest that was to come As sophomores we exbetienced a feeling f the first time vse had the responsibility of raising money It was for our first big dance he Sophomore Prom joan Kress the only girl president we had led us through this year as we chose our class rings and sold coke at some of the basket ball games Mrs Wards guidance as class advisor helped to prepare us for the next plateau We will never forget our rumor year Thus fat it was the busiest and fastest thing that had ever happened to s Now we were full time sellers at the football and basketball games as our sights were set on a spectacular reception Nancy Schieber our terrifically talented artist spent many months making and designing the beautiful Fantasia Under her skillful guidance butter flies and fairies were constructed by members of the class for the big day Ferenc Szasz again our capable and competent leader and Mr Stewart our understanding advisor headed some very proud hosts that evening when we entertained the sen iors The campaigning for student council presi dent was the most enthusiastic in years The whole student body elected ohn Auld as the leader of the school for 1957 58 Seniors' We couldnt be yet we were' We chose Jerry Tabler to be our president as we became the leaders of Bucytus High School This was a year of decisions what college or what get name cards for this was another senior trade mark We decided that our class colors would be blue and gold and our flower Lily of the Valley We were very proud of john Auld when he was the only one among us to rank n the National Merit Scholarship test We all found out what it was to have senior subjects and stud ies' How challenging for those gomg to college to be reminded that this was pu a taste of things to come It was a year of discovery and challenge and we survived' A we walked across the stage in our caps and gowns and received our diplomas we knew that this was lust the begin ning of our learning., We would be using this knowledge from the past twelve years as guiding posts in the years to come My ,Q psf , a. o ' ' - f I D V l 8 I ' 1 .
