BUCYRIAN QQQOQQ 1946 SENIOD C LASS DIQDDHECY Suddently I am bothered by A little man who is very shy. McDougle didn't even say That it had been a very nice day. At the half we are entertained By a horse with a flowing tail and mane. Evers is proud of her pet, they say, 'Caus it eats ice cream instead of hay. The game goes on to the second half, Kline, selling peanuts makes me laugh. Gabriel made another touchdown, A better man will never be found. Maybe you can't see how the get All that vitality, vigor and pep. But Albie, our Einstein man of wonder Invented a pill to make you younger. After the game, to school for the dance, And meet more friends if I have the chance. It's rumored around in a voice quite hearty We'll go to Bittikofer's for a big party. Campbell is there still five feet six, Borrowing money for a bottle of mix. With T1-avis's dollar off they go- Around the corner to the burlesque show. The orchestra starts with music that's sweet. It's Beaky Graham in the solo seat. Mead is the vocalist and she's 0. K. When she sings the blues we all swing and sway. This dance is in honor of us all, And of the memories we'll recall, Inscho is queen of the night, And with us she's still all right. v I'll walk around the halls and see All the teachers known to rne, There is a list of names of each, And of the subjects that they teach. The faculty of our school has changed. Bowers teaching English isn't so strange. Principal Yaussy's as stern as ever, She's afraid the kids are getting too clever. The Latin teacher is Margaret Moes, She keeps all Freshmen on their toes. Eickel is teacher of Spanish today, But all she knows is Como dice- The dance is over-that's all for now, To Kennedy's restaurant to get some chow. W-e especially like his long French fries. But Schnnbel goes there to eat the pies. The place is packed, we're all squeezed in. Chuck Ulmer the waiter just can't begin To take all the orders of the crowd, With the juke box playing songs so loud. Up from a booth comes gossip quite clear, I just can't help but to overhear How happy Young is on her grand new farm. The tractor purrs when she turns on her charm. Stetzews in Upper with good old Gus, At least it's the latest that she's told us. The Keplinger twins look alike more and more, But one spends her time around Sycamore. Who paved the road at old White Pines And put up all those parking signs? A fellow named Jim Huggins did 'Cause he is known as the revervoir kid. -22...

-QUCYRIAN Q Q 0 Q fd Q 194? SENIUIQ C LASS DIQUDHECY You will never believe it, but I'In here to say, Twenty-five years have past since that day That we were so scared to go out in the world, And face all the dangers with flags unfurled. But as I journey from city to city, I find that it really was such a pity To waste all that worrying, fretting and time, When everyone really is doing just fine. They all seem as young as they can be, But then Why not we're 'bout forty-three. Some, I haven't seen for ages past, So what they're doing will be found in these pages - - My plane needs gas. so l'll have to stop At Helen Stull's station for fuel and pop. Lunches are served there by Messcrschmidt, Who gives you sandwiches without or with. Gloria Swanson keeps the place clean, While Staiger does dishes all by machine. They seem to be such a happy four, That I hate to leave and go out the door. I wander around from place to place, And try to find a familiar face. Who is that looking right at me? Why it's Betty Boyer and Janet Heiby! The next thing I see is a skating rink, With Gingery and Holland inside there, QI thinkl The music I hear is by Evelyn Casey, Who's out of this world just like Count Basie. Marion Pettit owns a store of drugs, And sodas are sold in live gallon mugs. Aller stops there before he goes, Over to Galion in the winter snows. It seems to me I haven't mentioned, That all this traffic calls my attention To a car that seems to be taking its time, Cause Hamlin is sure it can stop on a dime. Maurice Pettit is the best dressed man Of the Kroger Store Co., I understand, Because he buys all of his clothes From Grose-'s shop for boys, I suppose. What's this I hear coming down the street!! Is that Drummer Hyder who's off the beat? And there comes Hines not far behind, The only bass player you're able to find. Anslow is marching in the parade, Her baritone solo has just been played, Shes flashing that smile to all the crowd, They're waving and shouting and whistling quite loud. Garvin of course, is leading the band, And all girls are swooning up in the stand. It ls the night of the important game, Wllcn Bucyrus will win her rightful fame. lt's about to begin ,the team's all ready, Ilolcy is waving to a guy named Eddie. IL inkman is leading now with a cheer. .lark liehm just sits there drinking hiskcoke. The game has started-up goes our score. Hubble was sent in to raise it some more. Howland, the coach, is doing his part To give these boys a professional start. -21-

Anna Smith is a scientist with grace, But something she made blew up the place. She was sent to the hospital right away To see what the doctors would have to say. Seiple is surgeon of your brain. It's said her patients never complain. She holds the knife just the way, That Grandpa eats his peas each day. Marjory Schemel heads Red Cross, But Betty VVilliams is the boss. They are really a capable two To find just what is ailing you. I Marguerite Armstrong has photographs, Of movie stars-the present and past. Eddie, Patton and Dorothy Press, Are working for the New York Press. I leave the restaurant and out on the street, To get the yellow journal sheet. I leaf through it and look again, 'Cause I'm sure to find another fri-end. It says here McFarland and Lethem Together in their cars have come. But everything now is quite O. K. 'Cause only Grimm was in the way. Three cheers for Willy Moes,, And for all the stuff he knows. He's been in college 20 years, He's got more brain above the ears. The advertisements that I read, Are very nice to see-Indeed!! XVillie's hair sells Drene shampoo. lieimsnydel-'s make-up is Chen-Yu. What is that racing across the grass It looks like some lad chasing a lass. Peaty will have to run faster than that, 'Cause Santo is holding a big brick bat. Under a street light on a soap box, Carle is standing in bright colored socks. He's selling his product only by bulk, You got colored water along with his talk. Well it's getting lateg I'll be on my way, I've told you all I have to say, Just save this book and then you'll see, That in 25 years you'll agree with me. ..g- CYNTHIA LUTZ
