CROSS COUNTRY 1972 The Golden Buck Cross Country team finished the year with an impressive mark of 2546. In the Pendale Meet at Hermon the Bucks finished second only to 0 strong Orono team. At the Orono Regional Meet, John Bourgon Finished eleventh, quite a feat for a sophomore! The key to the Bucks success in l972 was con- sistency. The acquisition of the Folvey twins in early season along with the efforts of veterans John Bourgon, Jim Crosson, Jim McCobb, and Mike Sheehon helped make the year one which will be long remembered by Coach Files. This observer can not close his commentary without noting the importance of three new faces at Copt- Sheehon, Coach Files, Capt. McCobb BHS. Tim Cowon, Doug Heath, and Mighty Mouse Millet all played intregol roles in the Golden Bucks drive for supremacy. By the way, Shaffer, don't look back; those girls are right on your tail! Sitting; M.
