AT BUCKNELL vidual as are our two thousand students. Some recall the campus, the smell of hurning leaves in fall and the newly warmed earth in spring. Another ' s memories are of the fraternity, the game, the dance, the pin. For all of us it is a vibrating memory of a year of growth. With the increased enrollment, the birth of Bucknell Village, and the new additions to the faculty has come a simultaneous enlarg- ing of campus activities — our eight-page pa- per, a revitalized Radio Workshop, the ap- pearance of new sororities and fraternities. In these days pass ed lies the essence of those ahead. Some of this year ' s experiences will be of only passing value, many will be- come warm and living aspects of our person- alities. The value of living simply and di- rectly, the smile of a friend, that portion of illuminative knowledge each of us has gained — these will enrich our future. 1946-47. Not behind us — part of us. A year in which we grew in mind and spirit and learned to live more fully. A year enriched with images of people and places, bringing back the intangible warmth that is to us — - Bucknell.

i THROUGH THE YEAR ♦ ♦ ♦ The leaves were stabbed red and floated to the ground — over them fell the snow — now on the branches which they left are new leaves, green leaves — a year liad passed. 1946-47 lies behind us. A year is more than calendar months and days of the week — a college year more than two semesters. It is the class hour when thought is stimulated and we suddenly real- ize the power of the mind, the Wednesday morning at chapel when the sun strikes fully upon a face and for a second we feel the cre- ation of nobility. It is growth, and joys ex- perienced, and memories — memories as indi-
