Rainly RiVENBURG MlLLLB ElSENHAUER HOLTER ROBBINS Sutherland Simpson Lawson Ogburn THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL ONE of Bucknell ' s least known yet most active groups is the University Council. This ex-officio body of men is composed of the President, Homer P. Rainey; Director of the Junior College and Summer Extension, J. H. Eisenhaucr; Dean of the College, R. H. Rivenburg; Dean of Students, J. Hillis Miller; the Chairmen of the Five Academic Groups, S. C. Ogburn, H. W. Rabbins, R. L. Sutherland, F. M. Simpson, G. B. Lawson; and the Registrar, H. W. Holter. The Council was organized on November 30, 1932 for the purpose of handling those matters which are difficult to discuss adequately in a session of the entire faculty. Many of the old faculty committees have been abolished and their duties taken over by this unit. Matters dealing with admission, attendance, standing, curriculum and courses, registration, rules, regulations, the summer session and extension, are among those items now efficiently handled by this one administrative body. 13]
