Homer Price Rainey Prcsitfctit Dr. Homer P. Rainey, a native Texan, is a graduate of Ferris Academy and of Austin College, where he served for a time as a member of the faculty. After receiving his Ph.D. degree from the University of Chicago in 1924, he went to the University of Oregon as a Professor of Education, and from there was called to the Presidency of Franklin College. When he assumed this position, he was the youngest college president in the United States. Since his acceptance of the Presidency of Bucknell University, November 13, 1931, University organization has undergone distinct revision. Five academic groups have been formed; the curriculum has been revised; administration of student affairs has been reorganized; the Junior College has been started; one unit of the new building program has been completed.
