The Oraele's Prophecy C Continued J Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Scheiwe told me that they had received word that their daughter, Darlene, who is buyer for Marshall Field and Company, is now in Paris buying the latest designs, She, too, is married while working. Her hus- band is Jim Fox who is on assignment in the Mediterranean. Donald Hull is our Fuller Brush man. He follows the rule that Once you get the foot in the door, you're in for it, He has been very successful along this line. On the side he is selling books to women entitled, 'lHow to Get a Man and Keep Him. Selda Luhrsen went to Junior College at River Forest in the fall of 1952. After her graduation she began teaching the little kiddies at St. Johnis Lutheran School. I hear she is a wonderful teacher. John Martin was always a good agricultural student while in high school. After school, he attended the University of Illinois and became an agriculture teacher. John is married to a beautiful girl and they have six darling brats. I, Ruth Lustfeldt, immediately after graduation, joined the WAVES so that I would be able to do work similar to Marvin's. Luckily, we both happen to be on the USS Segourney and are now happily married. Well, diary, my hands are getting the writer's cramp telling you the various activities of my former schoolmates. It was a wonderful opportunity being able to see so many civilians that I knew. I am once again aboard the USS Segourney surrounded by gobs, but I am still thinking of all of my classmates. The 0racle's Prophecy CCOntimzed1 Maurice Seggebruch quit farming with his father and went to Hollywood. He can currently be seen in Tune-up Time. I hear that he is very serious about a cute little Hollywood dame, Hot Canary. Marilyn Janssen has really gone big time. She is the private secretary of General Ridgway. A certain G. I. has his eye on her, so we hear. Those com- merce subjects she took in high school have really helped her. Gwen came down to Buckley from Chicago where she had finished 2 suc- cessful season, replacing Sonja Henie. Gwen Winterstein is known around the world as being the first person to combine ice-skating and singing. Allan Crawford has also gone to the top. He is beginning his first termas President of the United States. Girls, you still have a chance because he is not yet married. QLucky Allan.J Norma Weber has organized a National Girls' Softball Team of which she is President. I hear they are a great success. She is also married to james Decker, and they reside in New York City where he is the head of a business firm. An announcement has just been made! Lt. Commander Bill Wleisenbarn .of the American Legion, Post 363, will be guest speaker at the Legion Carnival. Bill received many medals and tributes in the last war and was named the most needed and important soldier in his division. He is also married to the former Diane Shilts of Paxton. Ruth Janssen, after graduation, went to work at Chanute Field doing Civil Service work. There she met a handsome and high-ranking air force man to whom she is now married. She is still working on the field.
