The Oracleis Prophecy May 17, l952 Dear Diary: It feels pretty good to be back in the old home town after being away for ten years. The time seems to have passed swiftly, and so many things have changed. As I write you, dear diary, I am back for the Buckley Alumni Banquet and Dance. You do not know what it does to one to come back to old acquain- tances and talk to them! The past ten years of my life have been eventful, but it is always good to be back in the home town. First, I saw Peggy Hughes Johnston, who came to our class in her senior year. She and john are living in Champaign, Illinois, where John is coaching the famous Fighting Illini. Peg and john have two little Indians to coach along the sidelines. Peg was voted to have the best figure in her senior year, and she still looks trim. I was shocked to see that Marian Blanck was still single. She was voted to be the class flirt and still is. She hasn't lost any of her skill in leading the men a merry chase. She still has at least three or four of them on her trail. Glenda Eyre and her husband were there also. After leaving high school, Glenda became a nurse and practiced nursing for seven years, after which she married Dr. Pain. She quit working after the new addition to the family ar- rived, a little girl named Linda Sue. I received a letter from another former classmate, Carole Gehle, telling me that she would be unable to attend the Alumni celebration. By the way, she is working as a model in an exclusive shop in Hollywood. After her graduation from high school, she married Ray Wells, and they have a modern bungalow in Sunny California. A
