Senior Class History On September 1,.1948, our class of 1952 entered BCHS as frightened fresh- men. We were treated as inferiors until the day of our initiation, September l7, when we were initiated by the mighty seniors to become full-fledged members of this high school. Under the leadership of Carole Gehle, class president, Nor- ma Weber, vice-president, Gwen Winterstein, secretary-treasurer, and Mr. C. L. Norton, sponsor, our freshmen year was quite prosperous. Most of our income came from the queen contest at the Halloween Festival, where our candidate, Glenda Eyre, placed second. Our first class function consisted of a return party for the seniors. In the fall of 1949, our class again entered the portals of BCHS, not as frightened freshmen, but as saucy sophomores. However, we were minus two members, Ardene Dippel and Allan Crawford. One vacancy was filled by a newcomer, john Martin. Class officers for the year were: Maurice Seggebruch, president, Marian Blanck, vice-president, Gwen Winterstein, secretary-treasurer. We held two class parties that year. The first one was a farewell party for the seniors, the other, a weiner roast for the class members and sponsor, Miss De Luka. As juniors, we came back to school with the hopes of a successful prom. All our efforts went for that purpose. At the Halloween Festival, we conducted a profitable food stand. We also sold candy and pop at basketball games to make money for the coming event. However, our class play Mamas Baby Boyn was our largest source of income. Plans for the prom and banquet began soon after the opening of school. After much deliberation, the Dutch theme was selected. The outstanding high- light consisted of a large Dutch windmill, where the punch was served. Lyle Mitchell furnished music for the occasion. ln our estimation, the banquet and
