611155 Prophecy A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE On one sultry afternoon 1 Sat for awhlle gazmg over the plctures of my beloved classmates and began to reahze that the class of 53 was about to pass forever from the walls of dear old Buckland Hlgh Then the deslre to flnd out just what my classmates would be dolng flfteen years hence suddenly sexzed me Whlle pondermg over thls a llttle fa1ry mystemously stood before me In my lap she placed a lamp and some handkerchmefs Thls my ch1ld 15 a wonderful lamp If you touch mt w1th thxs wand and look through the handkerchrefs rt wrll roll back the curtams of the future and show you what the future of your classmates 1s to be Before I was able to thank her she had dmsappeared just as mystermously as she had appeared I was eager to know the future of my classmates so I touched the lamp and looked through the flrst handkerchlef Ah there appeared before me four damty nurses dressed ln mmmaculate un1forms The pxcture was a l1ttle dlm and I had to take a second look to be sure Yes they were my own classmates Rosa Matthews Doll1e Roberts Lxllran Hmton and Vlrgmla Dotson who were servmg as nurses ln the Llncoln Hospxtal Durham North Carollna The second handkerchlef was larger than the fxrst and I was even more eager to take a look at the future through xt As I gazed I saw a Junk yard full of worn out cars There were three men busy at work and all three looked very famxlmar As one turned to say somethmg to h1s helper I recogmzed them none other than Charlle Roberts Calvm Plland and Henry Bond who owned themr own garage mn Wmdsor N C and were the best mechanlcs ln Bertxe County As I looked through the thlrd handkerchlefl saw a large bulldmg Why xt was a convent A faxr lady dxsappomted IH some love affaxr had become a nun and had devoted her lmfe to gomg about domg good m all the world She was now called Smster Annetta I managed to see her face It was my dear old classmate Margle Boone The fourth handkerchlef was very pretty It was whlte wlth blue borders I saw through lt a beautl ful theatre As the curtalns were rarsed for the fxrst act of the drama Love Entanglements the llttle heroxne of the drama looked strangely famllmar I took a second look a llttle gesture of the head revealed Emma Hall my own classmate She was truly an actress and was holdmg the audxence spellbound Through the next handkerch1efI saw an mmmense blllboard What dld xt say'?
