f SCULPTOR OF YOUTH I took a piece of plastic clay, And idly fashioned it one day. And as my fingers pressed it, still It moved and yielded to my will. I came again when days were past; The list of clay was hard at last. The form I gave it still it bore, And I could fashion it no more. I took a piece of living clay, And gently pressed it day by day, And molded with my power and art A young child ' s soft and yielding heart. I came again when years had gone: It was a man I looked upon, He still that early impress bore, And I could fashion it no more. Anonymous ' of he Library of Virginia :ichmond VA FOREWORD 2

We , the Senior Class of Buckingham Central High School, dedicate this, the Sixty- three Buccaneer, to OUR PARENTS. We owe this honor to them more than anyone else. They have been the sculptors; we, the clay. Through their continuous efforts and numerous sacrifices, they have begun to mold the statue of our lives. They have given to us the opportunities to be- come useful citizens and have instilled in us the highest possible standards — physi- cally, morally, mentally, and spiritually. They have put forth their very best in molding our lives through example and counsel. We will honor OUR PARENTS by continually striving for perfection. This dedi- cation is our way of saying M We love and appreciate these patient, faithful sculptors —OUR BELOVED PARENTS.
