COUNCILS The Student C0l111Qi1 of the Tennerton Division of Buckhannon-Upshur High School was first organized in the year, 1945, at the beginning of the second semester. The members of the Student Council include: a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, a Repre- sentative elected in each homeroom, Club Presidents, and Class Presidents. The Council has one Advisor elected by the members of the Council. In past years, the Council has undertaken and accomplished numerous projects. The most outstanding pro- ject this year is to build bleachers for the baseball field at Tennerton. The money for this project has already been raised through the co-operation of students. Last spring, at the end of the school term, each student donated a school book which was held until the fall term be an, and the profit on these books was given to the Council for the bleacher Each student, donating a booqt, will receive a free ticket to a baseball dgame this comin ipring, m appreciation for their help with this project. The Council also offers suggestions an co-operates with e annual spring Point-System Banquet. Another purpose is to see that the wants and wishes of the student body are presented to the Principal. This year the Council is helping to sponsor the yearbook.
