Among other projects of the club were the printing and distributing of programs for athletic events, conducting a campaign for the selection of a school mascot, and sending delegates to the state convention at Wheeling. The major activity of the club was the presentation of the second annual Hi-Y minstrelg a part of the proceeds were given to the athletic department. The club attributes much of its success to the active leader- ship of Mr. Kraus. The purpose of the organization is to create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community high standards of Christian characterf' To further this end, the club enjoys an active, social and intellectual program. All members of this organization must subscribe to the Hi-Y slogan: Clean living, clean athletics and clean scholarship. Page Jixfy-nine
