ACTIVITIFS AND PROGRAM MATERIAL A Nature hikes were made to hills where formations, erosion, weathering, color, skyline, and types of rocks were observed. Birds of the snow, feathered pioneers, spring song- ssers, and the h'h tide of bird life were each noticed on nature's calendar by observation and exhibition pictures. Life history of butterflies and moths were studied by actual development of each stage in school. Insect collections were made and preservedg insects as actors were demonstrated by live specimens performing special feats at club meeting. Wonders of the microscope discovered through the use of bacteria slides, protozoa, molds, leaf tissues, feathers, insect wings and feet. Biological words acted as charadesg one act nature plays producedg assembly program given. Comparative anatomy of frogs, starfish, dog fish, perch, and reptiles demonstrated by examination and dissection of preserved specimens. Identification of trees and wild flowers studied. Personal experiences with wild animals and their habits related.
