.ww f -sf fgqxizgiffl 1 78 ' ls xi 7- ff 0- - - ' ls M 7 A fjggiy The Rhododendron Nita? ,g53?liLf ws Aga ., d The Road to Fame 19 There are eighty-two Juniors on the road to fame, Read carefully and you will note each name. lt,ll take us one more year to get there, But we'll succeed as we all play fair. Elizabeth Flanagan and Carl Lamb lead the procession As largest, they're taking up the athletic profession. Little Doc White and Ruth Hamrick, on the end, are hard to be seen. As they're not so big, and there are seventy-eight between. We've a stop at nineteen hundred and thirty to wait, And now to find out whom we appreciate. Our president, Robert Foster, has something to sell. The School Life's out, whispers Mildred Bell. What's it all about--the fuss? ln everything Lola Baxa made an A-plusl Paul Brooks holds her tight in ther ace. Who's going to come next? cries Edna Grace. Canfield, Stanley, White and Young, Basket after basket have they slung. At times they've made teams feel as small As Celia Ward would beside Helen Hall. Besides the above, we have football then, Miller, Waugh, Bailey. Bryant and Coyner-all letter men. Jack Wilbur knows how to make our opponents frown, All he has to do, is start for a touchdown. Our cheer leader, Helen McWhorter, quite famous, Says if we wonlt yell she won't claim us. When-down from the bleechers cries Sherman West, Aw now, Helen, 1,11 do my best! Our student manager is a Junior, too. Hc's ever faithful, iust and true, As he held his position from last year, So for David Latham we give a cheer! Eugene Stewart, Howard Gochenour and Charles Green Are all players on an independent team. Of course theylre not entitled to a letter, But here are other things they can do better. Page thirty-nina

v iva : A ,196 gn- '--fi, W 2 gif. 9+ fi FIM , The Rhododendron til- ' x.. A, -QS -..Z - Q. Harry Funk and James Deans seldom start a riot. We appreciate them although theylre very quiet. And two girls who make a very good pair Are the two sisters, Cozbi and Mabel Sayre. Tho' our class is not known to all the nation, We have a junior broadcasting station. Our broadcaster-who is Stuart Felts-- Has a voice thatls distinct, and never melts. When it comes to posing, she's ideal, And yet we know she's Hazel Reel. Two Glee Clubers are Martha Cartright and Helc The latter a violinist- She's not so awful. Another girl called Beulah Ritter- Has she a fellow or did he quit 'erf And Olive Reppert who's quite romantic, Says, The bays simply drive me frantic. Nothing much worries Elaine Sexton, If- she loses him she tries the next one. Probably more than one point has been lost, Because of late hours spent with Nell jane Moss. Rosemary Harne can sing and play, While Carolyn Priester 'rouses our hip hoorayl Mary Elizabeth Kelly is the girls' gang chauffer, While she's doing that one can't call her a loafer. Now Vera Lowe is very tall. That is, she isn't very small. Yet Doreen Shockey, who is bigger, Along with Vera seems very eager. just to rest you from the above tongue twister, You must know Mavton isnlt Dorsey's sister. Although Zickefoose is their last name, Relationship, however, they refuse to claim. If in Library, there's something you canlt find-don't look Ask Frank Karickhoff. He's the best kind of reference book We've another boy of whom we are proud. It's Detective I-Iiner, sh-not so loud! Glenn Hartman and Tharp are professional at teasing But the ways of these two are somewhat pleasing. But Thomas Stockert's car rides well we suppose, But Willard Phillips is the only one who knows.
