The queen almost fell off the throne, but Kate Cutright saved the situation by helping her up again. SEPTEMBER, 1926 School once more. This is our last year in junior high. Again we elected Bill Harper, president, and Frank Everhart, vice president. We entertained junior high school with another chapel program. MAY, 1927 We had a party. I heard that Coley Hawkins took Milly Reppert, much to Monk Tenneyls disgust. At last the eventful night arrived. We were given our diplomas and were then the sophomores of Buckhannon High School. SEPTEMBER, 1927 We had a lot of trouble in getting our schedule fixed, but at last we started. Miss Wolverton, Mrs. Thornhill, and Miss Morton were our sponsors. Bill Harper was elected president, Frank Everhart, vice president, Maurice Tenney, Secretary, and Clyde Ervin, treasurer. . ' JANUARY, 1928 We had a chapel program. For once, Virginia Whiteis tongue ran away with her. She had Billy Bump down the hill before he spilled the water. Frank Everhalrt made a lasting impression as an orator when he told how Armour's Packing House rendered its lard. SEPTEMBER, 1928 Juniors at lastl We elected Willard Baxa, president, William Harper, vice president, Wretha Peterson, secretary, and Marian Deeds, treasurer. Miss Zickefoose, Miss Stockert, and Mr. and Mrs. Kraus were appointed as our sponsors. DECEMBER, 1928 The Junior English 2:15 class presented Overtones in assembly. We had a Christ- mas tree in class meeting. A thoughtful Junior presented Mr. Kraus with a rolling pin. MAY, 1929 The banquet was the biggest social event of the season. lt was a bountiful meal for the Seniors, for the Senior president said, Fm full of',, five times. SEPTEMBER, 1929 It is the beginning of our last year. Everyone shudders at the name of Senior English. Miss Boylen and Miss Snodgrass are cur sponsors. This time We elected Clyde Ervin, president, William Harper, vice president, Wretha Peterson, secretary, and Virginia McWhorter, treasurer. OCTOBER, IQZQ We gave a Columbus Day program. The living pictures would have been perfect, but Eddie Frounfelteris robe kept slipping inch by inch. DECEMBER, 1929 , We had a Christmas dinner. There we met Mr. Farnsworth, our class patron, for the first time. Miss Boylen's oration was the main feature of the program.
