I. boys plow through to the tune of 13-3. Nov. 17. First issue of School Life. Everybody rushes to congratulate Editor Mary Helen and Business Manager Ford. Nov. 19. Everyone hard at work. fParents' Day., Nov. zo. John Fowkes present :yt a play-with a female. Nov. 24.. A budding playwright,.john Rohrbough, struggles in the throes of a play called, The Colonel,s Ghost . Nov. 27. Buckhannon High School loses final football game and Avington and Hoylman receive honorable mention on the all-state team. Nov. 30. Football season over. Everyone reluctantly bids good-bye to the game that has brought fame to Hall, Grimm, Avington, Watson, Mills, Farrar, Hoylman, Latham and Cookman. ' 1 Dec. l. Carl Hoylman absent from school today. Dec. 3. Clark White and Mary Lee Fisher discover the secret of co-operation. Great excitement felt through the school.' Dec. 4. Boys have big thrill battling the flames which nearly destroy Abe Smith's home. Hog Dixon is one of the most prominent of the rescuing crew. Many people observe him as he sits on the roof smoking-cigarettes. , Dec. 6. Seniors have first party in the gymnasium. Ted Ward and Principal Bona: vie for honors at playing hearts. Dec. 7. Basketball season opens. Seniors place all their hopes in Randall Post. Gym is the scene of much bustling and hurrying to and fro of both sexes. 7:45 means hard lines for the girls. Dec. 8. Virginia Cookman get a birthday present in the form of,a surprise party at Anne Lorentzls. Those most surprised are Virginia and Mrs. Lorentz. Dec. IO. C. Hoylman absent from school. Dec. 11. Casto Farrai obliged to give up hopes for varsity basketball since he cannot take time off from curling his hair and other slight duties. Dec. 13. At last the high school takes a definite stand towards cheap literature. A reading club, Lectores is the name, is organized. Will try to abolish all trashy brain food. Dec. 25. Christmas vacation! Students bid a happy and fond farewell to books and studies for a two-week vacation. - Dec. 27. Lois Young and Anne Lorentz spend the holidays in Clarksburg. Evelyn Ashcraft travels to Fairmont, Columbus, Clarksburg and Charleston. Mary Helen Lawson goes to Fairmont for a series of parties. Dec. 29. Orella Leonard, Pap', Kiems, and Mary Lou Hoylman complete the perfection of the happy time with highly successful parties.
