Miss Boylen, Miss Reger, Miss Putnam, Katherine Lawton, Juanita Fordyce, Cloyde Reppert and Leland Arnold are among those present. ' - March 10. justina Basil and Freada Mae Beall compete when it comes to parties, both great successes to judge from reports. I March 12. Senior Class song composed by Katherine Lawton and Anna Kiddy. March 13. Ten high school girls' entered the chorus of an operetta, A Night of Dreams , given by Wesleyan Excelsior Literary Society. March 14. A Current Events test given by Prof. Brooks certainly showed up the intelligence of the high school. The averages were Seniors 53, juniors 48, Sophomores 44. March 17. The sponsors for the Latham Class give-a party-Willard Ayers and Donna Thomas win prizes, at Hearts, the game of the evening. A V March 16. Ted Ward marries a boy from Weston. Buckhannon High will be madc up of 'married ladies with husbands in Weston if such action' doesn't stop. March 19. Tournament! College gymnasium simply' packed with visitors and Buckhannonites. ' March zo. We certainly got the rooters' cup. March 24-15. Great many students attend The Student Prince in Clarksburg. March 26. This is all I'm going to write. Eleanor Price gives a party for those people who are willing to stay up -and usher in the New Year. Jan. 4. Miss Helen Bellis, popular Latin and French teacher, decides that she cannot live without Mason Brooks, a well-known alumnus of Buckhannon High School, and their marriage is the first surprise of the new year. jan. 8. The Senior Class program fconsisting of the presentation of a 70-ft. flag pole and a one-act play, entertains all those able to get up early enough for chapel. , jan. 13. C. Hoyl. absent fr. sch. Jan. 16. John Fowkes ceases to deny rumors of a feminine attachment. Wonder if that's a sign of pure resignation to cruel fate or a confession of guilt. A Q Jan. 19. Everyone stiff and sore from coasting. Kanawha hill is the scene of a marvelous time-as well as a few mishaps. The Charleston is becoming quite passe before this new sport. . Jan. 20. Irish Avington seems to be the honey pot for some high school girls with . bees in their bonnetsn. So far Irish remains heart-whole, which is too bad. jan. 22. The Buckhannon five goes down befbre the Elkins quintette with a score of 19-10. After the Philippi girls lose to the Buckhannon girls 32-29, everyone has a big time at Whitescarver's hall, playing bridge, truth, eating and dancing. Jan. 25. C. H. a. f. s. I Jan. 26. Irish Avington, Jack Cunningham, Handsome Farrar and Irish Murray receive great ovation for their portrayal of that immortal character, Satan, now bc- ing carefully studied in English four. l Paradise Lost. j 1 ' Feb. 2. Randall Post puts up the gamest fight in the history of basketball in a great 'game as forward on the third team. Feb. 5. The whole high school goes mad and simply raises the gymnasium roof when Buckhannon High defeats Parkersburg I6-13. Five hundred people seen down town after the game waving their arms and cheering feebly. Feb. 8. junior election the scene of great activity. Whois the vampiest, Lois, Anne or Eleanor? Time will tell. , ' Feb. 9. Robert Linger, one of the fiery-headed beauties of the high school, decides against entering the red-headed contest. Inherent modesty seems to be Robert's inferiority complex. Feb. 10. Lucile Rohrbough at last admits her marriage to ayoung Westonite. The Junior girls seem to find a source of great fascination in their neighbors. Feb. 14. Pap Kiems leads the Buckhannon bo s to a gloriousvictory from Weston. Feb. 18. The Anti-flapperism club is organize for the benefit of those who look down on the feminine sex. Clark White and Bill Young barred from membership. Feb. 19. Members of the Anti-flapperism club tempted. S. O. C. call sent to the members. V Feb. 20. Cast for the Mennonite Maid decided on. Hazel Taylor, Bobby Latham, Lefty Hamrick, Ted Ward, Anne Lorentz, Irish Avington and others. The lucky ones will soon be hard at work. Feb. 21. Downfall of Buckhannon quintette before Grafton only seems to pep them u . P Feb. 23. Buckhannon High is much fitter', this year than last according to medical exam report-happy thought. Soon Buckhannon High will be made up of these super- beings--perfect, physically, morally and intellectually. March 1. Everyone preparing for the Philippi tournament. We have to get one of the cups and awards.
